After the Show
When the show is over, go home, feed your cat, and give it some welldeserved downtime. Keep children and other pets away for a while to allow the cat to chill out and relax undisturbed, in peace and quiet. If you have other animals, wash up well before making contact with them, again to help ensure that no contagions are passed along. For a week or so, ask nothing of your show cat. Just allow your pet to go about its business. Just offer love and appreciation when the cat begs for attention.
Cherish your cat and be thankful that you have the chance to peer through that feline window into the enigmatic heart and soul of nature and share moments of companionship. The cat is, above all else, an elegant bridge between human civilization and the mysteries of all things wild and untamed.
