How do sensitives develop their talents and learn to do their jobs? In Maggie Florio’s case, she says, “I didn’t receive any formal training in the group (T.R.I.P.R.G.). I have read and taken a mediumship class on my own. Now, we mentor our sensitives and they have a six-month training period.” Many groups have established psychic development educational programs for their members.
On-the-Job Training
Hands-on training is a great way to develop latent psychic abilities and benefit from the tutelage of seasoned investigators. The experienced investigators have made their own mistakes and can help a novice steer clear of them. The neophytes who observe the more experienced psychic’s handling of delicate situations can learn what to do and, perhaps more importantly, what not to do.
Knowledge Quest
For those looking to advance their knowledge and expertise, there are many resources available on the Internet, including online classes. Private classes and personal instruction can also be helpful. How does an individual who wants to learn more and develop her own innate talents differentiate among the available resources to figure out where to start?
Most experts agree that you should read a lot and talk to people with a background in the area in order to put a reading list together. After several weeks of research and reading, you should be able to discern your proper course of action. The important thing to remember is that you have to trust your instincts and approach the topic with a certain healthy skepticism.
Getting personal recommendations from friends or reliable sources is usually the best way to proceed. If you seek out personal instruction, check references and pick someone who has a proven track record of reliability.
